Skånetrafiken
Skånetrafiken is the regional organisation responsible for managing public transport in Skåne County, southern Sweden.
Ticket Information
Tickets are based on where you travel, and for how long your ticket is valid. You can use the app from Skånetrafiken to calculate your cost. The tickets are valid on some trains, and busses operated by Skånetrafiken and the light rail in Lund.
Trains
Trains operated within Skåne by either Pågatågen or Öresundståg (Øresundståg) can be used with a ticket from Skånetrafiken within the zone or area you have paid for.
Travel to Denmark
You can also purchase tickets that are valid in the capital region of Denmark on DSB trains and Movia busses, as long as your ticket cover both Danmark and Skåne. Beware that not all tickets are valid on the Copenhagen Metro, but it is possible to add this as an extra. The Ticket also includes unlimited travel over the Öresund bridge on train as long as your ticket is valid.

How to Ride the System
Plan your Travel
The easiest way to find out when the bus or train leaves, is to search for your journey here on the website, or in the app.
Activate your Ticket
You must activate your ticket in the app before you board. When using the app, you can decide whether to activate your ticket immediately after purchase, or when boarding. Paper tickets are activated at the time of purchase.
Tap or Show your Ticket
On the bus: Tap your ticket by holding it against the ticket reader. On the train: Show your ticket to the train attendant. On the light rail in Lund: There are several scanners where you can scan your ticket. Always scan your ticket when possible. Skånetrafiken are using this information to plan routes.
Rules
Bicycles
If you travel within Skåne, you can bring a bicycle on our yellow buses and trains, free of charge.
Please note that our buses and trains can accomodate a limited number of bikes. It is up to the train attendant/bus driver to decide if there is room for the bike. If not, you need to wait for the next departure.
At the yellow buses: Between June 15th and August 15th, you can bring your bicycle on board, subject to availability, on all days and at all times. At other times of the year, you can only bring your bicycle on Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays from 4:00 AM to 11:00 PM.
If you want to bring a bike on the Öresundståg to/from Copenhagen, you need to buy a ticket for the bike. This will allow you to bring your bike to/from Österport station in Denmark. If you wish to bring your bike further than Österport station in Denmark, please contact the Danish public transport system, DSB.
Animals
Pets are welcome on board our buses and trains within Skåne. You can bring up to two dogs, or other domestic pets, free of charge.
Luggage
You can bring luggage on our buses and trains, free of charge. You must be able to store the luggage beneath your seat, on your lap, on the overhead shelves or in another designated place on board the bus or train.
